Backup

A comprehensive database backup strategy is in place. Database backups include a daily export backup, an incremental hot backup and a monthly cold backup. All archive logs from the last cold backup along with the cold backup files are stored securely onsite as well as offsite.

A Stand-by Oracle database server runs in stand-by mode at the alternate location. The server is fully setup with Oracle software, database and schema. It is updated every hour with archive logs from the primary database server to minimize data loss to only one hour of transactions.

Disaster Recovery

A full fledged Disaster Recovery Plan has been created, published, implemented and tested to ensure minimal impact on business. In the worst case scenario, an alternate data center with data that is not older than one hour is activated through a prescribed formal process. The DRP is available on request.
